Drinking Water Report Available
The drinking water report for the city of Gettysburg for 2024 is available on the reports page of this website.
Gettysburg City Water Rates
On January 1st 2025 the base rate for water service will increase from $21 to $22 for in-town service and from $30 to $31 for out-of-town service. The water usage rates will stay the same at $0.55 and $0.60 per hundred gallons respectively.

911 Address Corrections
The Potter County Library is able to correct rural GPS coordinates on Google Maps. They are also able to confirm that your location is correct if you are unsure. First responders rely on both GPS and map books when trying to reach your location and having correct directions lowers response times.
Please call the Potter County Library at 605-765-9518 during their business hours to verify your location is correct within the Google Map System.
The Library’s Hours are as follows:
- Monday: 10:00am - 5:00pm
- Tuesday: 10:00am - 5:00pm
- Wednesday: 10:00am - 5:00pm
- Thursday: 10:00am - 7:00pm
- Friday: 10:00am - 5:00pm
- Saturday: Closed
